Hear Me (Taiwanese Film_聽說)

The initiative of this film was due to 21st Summer Deaflympics in Taipei, year 2009. Honestly, I didn't expect that much in the beginning. However, after watching the film, it's actually Not that about Deaflympics: No propaganda, no overwhelmed advertisement. Instead, you see a story about dreams(夢想)and people who pursue them, in their own paths.
The way of story telling is customary for usual Taiwanese movies where you did not find complex story lines, not many characters, the background of story is set in the ordinary families. As citizens of Taipei, you may see these kind of families living around the corner of your street; you may buy lunch boxes from this kind of family-owned restaurants everyday. Yes, it's all connected, it's the miniature of our society.
To communicate via sign languages, one might need to "Look", to "Tap" each other to draw the attention. For me, the focus and attention you have to pay when you "talk" to each other is so presious that I believe they doHear each other's heart.
